If I just remove myself from the big websites it should be fine right?

You could try, but without combing through over 170 websites to find what data is actually out there, removal from one or two sites is not enough. Often these sites buy and sell data to each other repopulating faster than you can request removal. That is why it is important to remove PII from all known sources early and often, rinse and repeat.

If you have investments such as real estate, we recommend putting those into an LLC or a trust. While that information is still available via tax records, it does take an extra step or two to find you which may in fact deter harassers, stalkers, and Karens.

That is what we call a dead link. Google has not crawled over that page since your listing was removed. We take steps to request Google remove that link. It takes time, but it will come down.
